MVA & Car Fire on NYS Thruway

NYS THRUWAY / Nanuet - FIRST REPORT 4:00PM Emergency personnel are currently on the scene of a serious collision – possibly a head-on collision, on the NYS Thruway northbound at Exit 14. As of this posting the entire northbound direction is shut. 


There are reportedly four victims being treated, some with serious injuries. 



UPDATE 4:40PM EST: Sources tell MonseyScoop.com that there are two separate crashes on the Thruway. Traffic is backed up all the way to the Tappan Zee Bridge. 


As reported earlier (see above), one incident was reported to be a head-on collision between exit 13 and exit 14 near Nanuet and Spring Valley, and four people were injured.  


In a separate incident, a car fire was reported on the thruway northbound near exit 13.
