Spring Valley - A 23-year-old woman suffered potentially life-threatening wounds after being stabbed multiple times this morning on Bethune Boulevard in the village, police said.
The woman was stabbed in the the chest, shoulder and right arm, Clarkstown Police Sgt. Nicholas LaFasciano said.
While the woman was seriously hurt in Spring Valley, she apparently walked a few blocks to Second Avenue in Clarkstown, where a cab driver drove her several more blocks to Crikki Lane in Nanuet, LaFasciano said. Crikki Lane is off Lawrence Street, along the railroad tracks.
“The initial report sounded like her injuries could be life-threatening,” LaFasciano said, adding the report was submitted at 1:40 a.m.
He said Clarkstown police called the Nanuet Ambulance Corps, whose EMTs treated the woman and took her to Nyack Hospital.
The woman was deemed in critical condition when found by Rockland Paramedic Services Inc. sitting on a porch on Crikki Lane, said Executive Director Raymond Florida.
“She was somewhat lethargic, and her wounds were life-threatening,” Florida said. “They had to infuse her with fluid to get her blood pressure up. She was definitely critical at that point.”
This is the second stabbing in one day in the Village of Spring Valley, as reported on NewYorkBuffMedia yesterday.
