Woman Fatally Shot In Bed-Stuy At Dekalb and Franklin Avenues

Bedford-Stuyvesant - A 24-year old woman was fatally shot and killed on Tuesday morning in the courtyard of Brooklyn apartment complex.

At about 11:20 a.m. NYPD responded to a call of a shooting at Dekalb and Franklin Avenues in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood.

Officers found the woman with gunshots to her chest. EMS transported the aided to Brooklyn Hospital were she was pronounced dead.

The perpetrator is a black male and was wearing a grey sweatshirt. NYPD ESU, K-9 and Aviation conducted a search. No arrests have been made yet.

Police requested additional units to help with crowd control.
