Nanuet - Dozens of Firefighters and other emergency Haz-mat crews are still at work cleaning up a major diesel spill at the intersection of College rd and Route 59.
The incident accurred shortly before 1:00 PM. The tanker was driving down west on Route 59 and was in the middle of turning left on College road when the tanker tipped over after being cut off by a car.
About 1,000 gallons of diesel spilled on the roadways into local parking lots.
Crews were brought in from numerous fire companies, and county Haz-mat specialists.
The driver was taken out of the truck and transported to Nyack Medical Center via Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps., with minor shoulder injuries.
