A fire that broke out in a Bronx building Tuesday morning displaced several families and left eight people — including two firefighters — with minor injuries, officials said.
About 170 fire personnel responded to the two-story private dwelling on Briggs Ave. near 198th St. around 11:15 a.m., according to authorities.
The Red Cross was providing emergency assistance to displaced families Tuesday. Fire marshals continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
