Lower East Side. A pizza delivery guy was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle Monday evening.
The incident happened around 6:00pm at the intersection of Delancey Street & Columbia Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, when a car lost control hitting the delivery man riding his bike then hitting another parked car.
The cyclist was transported to Bellevue hospital in critical condition.
The driver initially fled the scene but then returned and was taken into custody, police say.
